Dr. Sherri Gard is an experienced and respected equine vet who has practiced in the Hampton Roads area since moving to the region in 2016. She is proud and excited to launch Guardian Equine Veterinary Services in 2024 to serve the horse communities of SE Virginia and NE North Carolina.
Dr. Gard and her team bring a unique blend of knowledge, compassion, and hands-on experience to the world of equine health.
PREVENTIVE CARE PLANS
Wellness packages based on recommended AAEP exam and core vaccine schedule. Additional risk-associated vaccines, Coggins and fecal egg counts are also available.
ILLNESS EXAMS AND MEDICAL CARE
Medical workups with additional diagnostics including bloodwork, ultrasound and radiographic examinations as necessary.
PRE-PURCHASE EXAMS
Comprehensive evaluation including medical exam, acupuncture scan, lameness exam, drug testing and additional diagnostics.
EQUINE DENTISTRY
Routine dental care is essential to your horse’s health. Periodic exams and regular maintenance, such as floating, are recommended.
ACUPUNCTURE
Revitalize your horse’s well-being with our equine acupuncture treatments. This practice involves inserting thin needles into specific points to stimulate energy flow and promote healing.
CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENT
Our skilled practitioners focus on the spine and musculoskeletal system, using manual adjustments to restore proper alignment. This non-invasive therapy can alleviate pain, improve mobility, and enhance overall performance.
